Stay Healthy—Ask About Getting Screened
July 2012

Start Your Screening Plan
happy couple

Screening tests can help you stay healthy. Talk to a doctor about which screenings are right for you, based on your health history and your values.

Do you know which screening tests to get this year?

Screenings are medical tests to check for diseases like diabetes and cancer. Most diseases are easier to treat when they are found early, so getting screened can help you stay healthy.

To get a list of recommended screenings, enter your age and sex into our myhealthfinder tool. You and your doctor or nurse can then decide which of these tests are right for you.

Schedule a time to talk with your doctor or nurse about:

  • Your risk for different health conditions
  • Which screening tests you may need this year
  • The pros and cons of each test

Getting screened is one of the best things you can do for your health. Work with your doctor or nurse to make your screening plan.
