Quitting smoking is one of the most important things you can do for your health. The sooner you quit, the sooner your body can begin to heal. If you are ready to quit smoking, we’ve got tips that can help.

You can quit smoking

Quitting smoking is hard, but millions of people have done it successfully. In fact, more than half of all Americans who ever smoked have quit. Follow these steps and you could be one of them!

Set a quit date.

Make a quit plan.

Get support from family, friends, and coworkers.

Talk with your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist about options (like counseling and medicines) that can help.

Change your routine. For example, try taking a different route to work.

Keep reminding yourself why you want to quit.
