It’s National Mental Health Month. Did you know that depression affects millions of adults in the United States?
The good news is that depression can be treated. Getting help is the best thing you can do for yourself and your loved ones.
Talk with a doctor about how you feel. Ask the doctor to screen you for depression.
Get help and support. Ask for a referral to a mental health professional or use this mental health treatment locator. Some programs offer free or low-cost treatment.
Ask for help right away if you are thinking about suicide. Call 1-800-273-TALK (1-800-273-8255).
