It’s Radon Action Month! Radon is a natural gas that you can’t see, smell, or taste. Sometimes unsafe levels of radon can build up indoors — and that can cause serious health problems.

Happy family enjoying time at home
Take the first step by testing your home for radon.

Here’s what you need to know to get started:

You can test your home for radon yourself or hire a professional.

Start with a short-term radon test kit. It will take 2 to 90 days to get results.

You can buy test kits at home improvement or hardware stores.

If your home has unsafe levels of radon, a trained professional can fix it.

Read about testing your home for radon.

Fact:

One in 15 homes in the U.S. have a radon level that’s too high. Forward this email to family and friends to help them stay safe.
